As a kid (mid 90's) I only heard vague traces of the FLips (She Don't Use Jelly) their name always intrigued me as did the few song titles I knew. (Actually for a while I thought they were the band on Pete and Pete but that was Polaris.) Then in college I heard Yoshimi and it blew my mind. The whole thing seemed like it was recorded from space and transmitted to my soul. I began to discover each of their other albums and they each did the same; connecting to me on a deep level.
