What's the straight dope with the Denton Show? First it says it's $20 and SOLD OUT. Now it says its FREE. What's the scoop? How do you get tickets? Do you need tickets? Where in Denton and when on Saturday. I'd love to see them again.
Hey guys! Thanks so much for coming to Denton! What an amazing show this is going to be! I am posting this message to ask you PLEASE can my husband and I be dancing on stage at the show? Here's the top 10 reasons why we would make great dancers:
1.) We have been huge fans since WAY back! He wins because he got into you all after hearing your song Bad Days when Batman Forever came out... I was introduced to your music in college. I went to school in California and had this amazing funky 6'8 anthropology professor named Dr. Jack Schultz. The man really was a legend and he would tell these stories about working on his doctorate in the 1980's in Norman... all 6'8 of him would bike to campus each day and sometimes he said he passed these little venues and bars and would hear this crazy out-there music coming from inside. He started in investigate and go in... and there you were! :-) Back at school he would play Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots in class sometimes and we would just sit there and meditate. Pretty freaking cool!
2.) I have a pink robot tattoo. I affectionately call her Yoshimi.
3.) My husband and I immediately bonded over the fact that we both loved THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS and YOUR MUSIC!
4.) I once blew out the fancy fancy surround sound at my parents house when I played Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots 5.1 while watching the waveform cartoons.
5.) My husband Clay and I played "Do You Realize" at our wedding ceremony... oh wait I hope that's not a copyright violation! :-)
6.) We went to Austin City Limits in 2006 just to see you guys. I got dehydrated and sick that weekend but as I heard your music start and saw the stage burst to life I felt AMAZING!
7.) Back in the beginning of January my husband was driving on 35 and he swears he saw Wayne in a green Prius and a funky sweater. Clay was waving like crazy and the (possible) Wayne was really cool and was going to let him take a picture but then the interstate split. :-(
8.) We are really energetic and can dance the whole time.
9.) I teach middle school... and we listen to your music sometimes when we do warm-ups. The kids dig it and I would get a lot of points if I was able to prove I danced on stage at the concert.
10.) WE LOVE YOU!

"The show is, indeed, free. We're still working on a way to promote that fact as details on the show's location are being worked out."
Thanks for sharing some information about the upcoming tour, I'm sure many large corporations and people, their fans are looking forward to their next concert and tour. I hope I could really meet them in person, and I'm so excited about it.

Im in the Navy, by the powers of some unknown force in the Universe Ill be coming back home just in time for this concert... thank you so much Flaming Lips for being everything that is Great in the World and then one upping it.
