During the last twenty or so years, the Flaming Lips have released eleven albums, including one compilation. This discography provides details of releases on both Warner Bros and elsewhere. The band have recorded for Warner Bros since they were signed in 1990, with their first release for the label, the 'Wastin Pigs' EP emerging in 1991. Up until early 1990, the band recorded mainly for Restless Records who released four Flaming Lips albums, with an additional retrospective compilation '1984-1990' being issued in 2000. Almost all of the vinyl released is now out of print, and some of the older releases are no longer readily available on any format.

Details of the band's singles and EPs are also on this site. The views on the various records are intended to provide the reader with some notion of how the various releases compare sonically and artistically, in the light of the band's sound and direction changing (sometimes radically) with almost every release. Besides that main description other items are provided where possible to give further background information or other details about each release. It should be noted that the entries are listed in reverse chronological order.
