My favorite sandwich is The Reuben. (My Mom claims she ate them all the time when she was pregnant). The Onion Roll in Royal Oak MI, has a really good one.
You'd think in NYC you'd find the best…but, I don't care for the open faced variety of The Reuben that seems to prevail there.

So, we took matters into our own hands and ordered a Reuben Sandwich Kit from Zingerman's of Ann Arbor MI and made our own, the way we like 'em.

Now that's a Sandwich!!!!

I have to say both of those places are great. My uncle is pretty good friends with Ari, the owner of Zingermans. And while we love all things Zingermans, there's also an amazing place off of Telegraph Rd. and 12 Mile called the Star deli, that makes one of the most amazing Reubens my family have ever tasted.
